Hamilton Island Whitsundays

Almost a year since we went on our first little holiday. I am sure many people have the Whitsundays on their bucket list? Many long for an island escape. We have been very fortunate to have travelled to a selection of islands in Europe but never felt like we were truly on an Island because they were still fairly big. But Hamilton Island. The main form of travel is by golf cart buggy and you can cross the Island in less then 10 minutes. It is the most breath taking, relaxing place I have had the privilege of visiting. The sand on Whitehaven beach is like talcum powder. Pure white, soft and fluffy. The water is clearer then tap water. This is the first holiday I have been on where I have felt fully relaxed. It was a dream! The coral reef was amazing to explore. Walk in from Catseye beach and be surrounded by sea turtles, nemos and dorys! An hour flight from Brisbane airport! But you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. We can not wait to return!
